Punjab Emergency Service Department commonly known as Rescue 1122 is an emergency service department. The department has a different domain- Fire, Medical, Building collapse, etc. Furthermore, this department has a specialized team-Disaster Response Force (DRF), certified by United Nations INSARAG. The recent Balochistan Forest Fire that erupted in the Baluchistan Forest is out of control. The concerned authorities are trying to extinguish this forest but they are unfortunately failed to do so. This fire resulted in 3 casualties and many injured. They may lead to disaster if not controlled timely.
The specially designed and trained team- DRF has trained rescuers and professionals with different technical skills and knowledge regarding any disaster.

According to local news resources of Baluchistan, three people were killed and four others injured on Wednesday night in a Balochistan Forest Fire raging in Zhob’s Sherani district. The fire which has engulfed thousands of pine nut trees has not been brought under control even in 10 days. According to the Deputy commissioner of Sherani Ijaz Ahmed said three persons died after burning pine nuts fell on them.
The official added, “Rain is our only hope now.”
He expressed fears that the fire could envelop more areas and could stretch as far as the southern swathes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “The Balochistan government should ask the National Disaster Management Authority and other federal institutions to help control the fire.”

The Punjab Emergency Service Department Rescue 1122 can deal with multiple incidents whenever and wherever required. This Baluchistan Forest fire incident is now converting into a disaster. The causes of this fire maybe the heat waves- rise in temperature- due to global warming.
According to the officials, rescue 1122 is planning to deploy this team to the Baluchistan Fire incident to save precious human and animal lives and of course the natural resource. This fire is threatening our natural resources of dry fruits.
However, the deployment process of DRF is in progress, according to officials the team is preparing for the deployment. Soon they will leave Lahore headquarters to the Incident place of the Baluchistan Fire incident.

This fire incident happed for the first time in the lives of current young generations. The authorities should consider global warming a serious as well as an international issue. Baluchistan is the main exporter of dry fruits not only in Pakistan but also in the region. The forests are now in danger. Production is already decreasing due to the effect on plant health due to this heatwave. Now Pakistan should get ready for social as well as economic loss.
