This year marks 21 years since the terrorist attack on the U.S. On 9/11 21st anniversary of 2022 is possibly celebrated in Newyork City.
September 11 is Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance. Americans are encouraged to volunteer in their communities on this day in honor of the victims and first responders injured in the attacks and all those who gave their lives to protect freedom.
Family members of those who have lost loved ones led the effort to create a fitting tribute to their loved ones. These family members’ leadership and actions led to the establishment of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance in March 2009. Finally, AmeriCorps was tasked with supporting the effort in the entire county to celebrate the 9/11 21st anniversary 2022.
United through Service
It has been over 20 years since September 11, 2001. We remember the sacrifices made on that day and continue to honor them by remembering our heroes, first responders, and countless other acts of service to protect our freedom.
Furthermore, We invite you to unite in service to those who lost their lives or whose lives were forever altered by the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Neighborhood by neighborhood, lift each other up. This is what Americans did over 20 years ago to serve.
